Fronius have been manufacturing welding equipment, chargers and transformers since the 1940s. During this time, they created inverter technology so advanced that it led to key breakthroughs in this field. In the mid 90s, they began using this inverter technology for solar applications, winning an Austrian innovation prize for their Sunrise solar inverter in 1997 and for their standalone sine-wave inverter, the Solarix, in 1999. In 2001, Fronius launched its highly successful IG inverter range, winning another award in Austria when they were released and also the Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Award later in 2008. These inverters were a benchmark for solar inverters all over the world, and are only just being phased out after nearly 15 years in the field. From this rich history of reliability, innovation and service, the new SnapINverter generation from Fronius was born.

Fronius Galvo

The Fronius Galvo is the smallest inverter in the SnapINverter range. It comes in 1.5kW to 3.0kW models, making it one of the first inverters to bring premium features to the smaller size class. Normally manufacturers make these features exclusive to the larger models, but Fronius has innovated the small inverter market once again.


Fronius Primo

The Primo is one of the latest additions in the SnapINverter range. It boasts all the features of the range, including a 97.8% maximum efficiency, Wi-Fi connectivity, free monitoring via Solarweb, compatibility with the Fronius Smart Meter and an available extended warranty. The Primo is a single phase string inverter in the 3kW to 8kW models, making it a great choice for larger residential or small commercial systems on a single phase connection.


Fronius Symo

The Symo is the three-phase inverter in the SnapINverter range. It has a large class range of 3kW to 20kW, making it suitable for all three-phase applications in both residential and commercial.


Fronius Symo Hybrid

The Symo Hybrid is one of the first high-voltage, hybrid inverters on the market. Hybrid inverters enable people to connect batteries to their homes now or in the future. It also enables them to DC and AC couple of the batteries, which presents numerous benefits when incorporating batteries. It has a maximum efficiency of 97.6%, Wi-Fi connectivity, free monitoring via Solarweb, compatibility with the Fronius Smart Meter and an extendable warranty. The Symo is one of the only options compatible with the Tesla Powerwall and is the stand-out, three-phase hybrid inverter available today.
