Manufactured in Taiwan, Solar King inverters were installed in Australia up until 2012 and came with a 5-year warranty. The SLK is a single-tracking, plug-and-play, transformerless inverter.

If you are a Solargain customer and your inverter is still within the warranty period, you can remove it and bring it to your nearest Solargain office to have it replaced free of charge. Alternatively, you can book a health check, where we will replace the unit and conduct a service on the system (recommended annually).

If you are a Solargain customer but your unit is out of warranty, or if your system was installed by another company, you may opt for direct replacements such as:

*Rewiring new solar inverters could require new cabling and other equipment, incurring significant expense. In many circumstances, new installation is preferred.

If you are on a high feed-in tariff and are exporting power, we recommend you stay with the same inverter capacity, to get the most out of your system.
Our technicians always carry replacement units in the event that your inverter cannot be repaired.
Solargain customers, as per the RRP list, receive discounts in their 5th, 6th and 7th year of warranty expiry.
Warranty for Solargain customers is honoured for up to 5 years and 3 months. Escalated cases of expired inverters (up to 5 years and 6 months) may be reviewed by the manufacturer or management on request.


Fault Code Description Remedy  
No Utility No AC line Check that the solar supply main switch located in the meter box is on. If there is power to all three phases of the house, then we recommend that you book a system health check in order to have the isolators checked. If the isolators don't turn out to be the issue, we may need to verify the AC fuse as well (which will induce an additional cost of $20). If both the isolators and the AC fuse are fine, then the inverter will need to be replaced.
PV Over Voltage PV voltage is too high If this fault appears intermittently, it simply means that the system's production is peaking.
However, if it is a constant error (i.e. it doesn't leave the screen, even in the morning and late afternoon), then it indicates a permanent failure and requires replacement.

DC Bus High DC bus voltage is too high If this fault appears intermittently, it simply means that the system's production is peaking. However, if it is a constant error (i.e. it doesn't leave the screen, even in the morning and late afternoon), then it indicates a permanent failure and requires replacement.

DC Bus Low DC bus voltage is too low If this fault appears intermittently, it simply means that the system's DC output is low (i.e. in winter or early in the morning or late in the afternoon).
However, if it is a constant error (i.e. it doesn't leave the screen, even in the middle of the day), then it indicates a permanent failure and requires replacement.

Over Temperature Temperature is too high This fault reflects a fan failure. It usually starts as an intermittent fault and eventually becomes terminal. The inverter will need to be replaced. Contact Solargain for a solar maintenance service.
Grid Fault Grid voltage or grid frequency is wrong Check that the AC isolator and the solar supply main switch located in the meter box are on. If the fault appears intermittently, there is a grid voltage issue, which needs to be reported to the power distributor. However, if it is a constant error, the inverter needs to be replaced. Device Fault Hole sensor, GFCI device If this is a permanent fault, the inverter requires replacement.

Isolation Fault PV panel isolation problem If the solar supply main switch located in the meter box is on, we recommend that you book a health assessment in order to have a technician check for water in the isolators. If the fault appears intermittently (when there is moisture or rain), then, it is a legitimate fault, with water getting into the installation. However, if it is a constant error, the technicians will need to check your inverter's AC fuse (which incurs an additional $20 fee). The inverter might require replacement.
Impedance Fault Grid impedance fault If this is a permanent fault, the inverter requires replacement.

Ground I Fault Ground leakage too high This fault can pertain to water ingress or panel-related earth faults. We recommend a health check to eliminate an external cause for this fault, prior to purchasing a new inverter.
Relay Failure Relay fail If this is a permanent fault, the inverter requires replacement.

DC INJ High Output DC injection too high If this is a permanent fault, the inverter requires replacement.

Ref 2.5V Fault 2.5V reference voltage inside problem If this fault appears intermittently, it could mean that there is moisture in the board of the inverter. However, if it is a constant error, the inverter will need to be replaced.
DC Sensor Fault Output DC sensor abnormal If this is a permanent fault, the inverter requires replacement.

Power light on BUT OP WATTS=0   In this scenario, the system is often faulty. Therefore, it will need replacing.
Completely dead No lights, no screen If all switches are in the 'on' position, it means that the inverter needs to be replaced.
DC Curr Mismatch The output DC current of master and slave are mismatch

    If your inverter's yield is low, there could be a panel fault. We recommend a health check.
