The Australian Federal Government's Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) have allocated funds to via our partner Plenti, to assist more households switch to solar.
The $1 billion Household Energy Upgrades Fund (HEUF) provides Plenti with the ability to offer low-cost Green Loans to homeowners. Low cost solar finance will support homeowners to fast track lowering their household’s carbon footprint, without large upfront costs, for a sustainable future.
Discounted Green Loans available from 5 June 2024
- Loan terms will be extended to 15 years, to make repayments more affordable
- Up to 3.34% p.a. discount* will be offered off Plenti’s standard green loan rate with the purchase of eligible solar energy equipment.
You may be eligible for a discounted HEUF green loan if you have the below solar energy system equipment installed by Solargain:
- Solar battery
- Solar PV system and battery
- Solar hot water system
- Hot water heat pump
- Electric Vehicle (EV) charger
Eligibility criteria for a HEUF Discounted Green Loan with Plenti
- The solar installer must be a NETCC accredited installer, such as Solargain
- The homeowner must own (or be purchasing) the home where the property value does not exceed $2.5 million
- The homeowner must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- The homeowner must have a valid drivers licence, Medicare Card or Australian Passport
- The homeowner must have a clear line of credit
- The homeowner must be employed more than 25 hours per week, a self-funded retiree or receiving a government pension
