Motech has unfortunately been liquidated so sourcing spare parts will be difficult; however, there are some generic parts like fuses which if broken are easily replaced. Due to the odd size of the inverter, it’s important to consider that exceeding nominal AC values when replacing an inverter may result in the loss of your feed-in-tariff. Also, the Motech 4600 is the only three MPPT inverter on the market meaning replacing the inverter may result in you needing a full rewire of your system. In this instance, it may be more financially viable to consider one of Solargain’s take-over options.
