What is a hybrid-inverter?
A hybrid-inverter is a type of inverter that can send generated solar power to both your home and your solar battery at the same time. These inverters are more modern than the string inverters that were commonly used.
How can I ensure I am battery-ready?
The best way to ensure you are battery-ready and beat the rush to install rooftop solar and battery is to install solar with a hybrid-inverter now. Under the proposed National Battery Booster scheme, you can claim the rebate for installing a battery with a pre-existing solar system, so long as the system is capable of charging your battery. Note, it is very important to install a hybrid-inverter to ensure optimal compatibility with your battery. Talk to your installer to identify the optimum system size for your household and budget.

- The eligibility of the offer is conditional upon the entire PV system being eligible for Small Technology Certificates (STCs) under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
