About Aero-Sharp inverters

Aero-Sharp inverters have been installed in Australian households since as early as 2008, however they have since gone out of business.
Their transformer based inverters came in the following sizes:

  • 1kW
  • 1.5kW
  • 2kW
  • 3kW

While most Aero-Sharp inverters came with a five-year warranty, some came with a promotional ten-year warranty. However, as the extra five-year warranty was held with the manufacturer (which has now ceased operations), it is unlikely to be honoured any longer.

Common faults with Aero-Sharp inverters

Grid Volt Error
This fault can occur when the internal AC fuse blows. The cost of replacing it is included in our solar health check.

Ground Fault
Water entering the installation somewhere can cause this fault. We recommend you book a maintenance service to have it resolved.

System Error
If your inverter is experiencing a system error, it will need to be replaced, as this kind of fault cannot be repaired.

How do I submit a warranty claim for my Aero-Sharp inverter?

If Solargain installed your Aero-Sharp inverter and the unit is still within its warranty period, we will happily assist you with your warranty claim. You can speak with one of our customer service representatives by calling 1300 73 93 55.

My Aero-Sharp inverter is no longer covered by warranty

Even if your inverter is out of warranty, we can help get it back up and running. When you book a health check with Solargain we will test your system, replace any fuses that have blown and carry out necessary repairs, where possible.

If your unit can’t be repaired we will bring a replacement inverter along with us and swap them over all in the one site visit, reducing call out fees. As the Aero-Sharp is a transformer based inverter and therefore uses a different earthing system, you may need to replace it with another transformer based inverter such as the Fronius Galvo.

If you choose to install a transformer-less model, you’ll need to add earthing to your solar array, which may require the whole solar array being brought up to current specifications. In our experience, the labour associated with this process can sometimes be more expensive than the cost of a premium model Galvo inverter.
