What is the Queensland Government Solar PV and Battery Grant?
Announced early this year, the Solar PV and Battery Grant allows homeowners and businesses to invest in battery and energy storage systems. The Queensland Government are offering home owners and small business owners 3 packages for interest-free Solar PV and Battery loans and grants. However, applicants can only apply for 1 of the 3.

- Interest-free loans for solar
- Loans and grants for battery systems
- Loans and grants for combined solar and battery systems
What are the Benefits of Installing a Battery Storage Device?
Simply put, the Battery Grant allows you to get the most out of your existing solar system. Currently, the excess energy produced by your solar PV system during the day is then sold back to the solar retailer for a small amount of what homeowners pay. However, when you install a battery storage device in your home or business, you can store the excess energy produced throughout the day and utilise it during peak or busy times. Allowing you to completely make the most out of your installed solar PV system, as well as the energy you’re generating.
